Why I built this
Six months ago, my Instagram was dead
I had ideas to share. I did not want to film myself for hours every day. So I built an AI avatar, Lanie.
Lanie shows up online every day with my ideas, my voice and my brand. The account grew to 285K followers without ever showing a real face, and it has been growing by about 1,000 new followers a day. I post two to three times a day now, and it does not feel like a chore.

Do I have to show my face?
No. You set up your avatar once, with reference photos and 7 questions about your brand. After that she is the one on screen. Not in the app, not in the community, not in the help from me.
Is Lanie a real person?
No. Lanie is my AI avatar. She has never been filmed, because there is nobody to film. She is the proof that an avatar can carry an account.
Can my avatar look like me?
Yes, if the reference photos are of you. Only upload photos of yourself, or of a persona you have the right to use. Uploading someone else’s face is not allowed.
I am a complete beginner. Is that a problem?
No. The training starts at setting up your avatar and ends at your first week of posts. There are no prompts to write: you say what you want in one sentence.
Does it post to Instagram for me?
No. The app makes the post and keeps it in your library and on your calendar. You download it, paste the caption and post it yourself.
What about Instagram’s AI label?
You add it. Instagram asks people to disclose realistic AI-generated content, and that responsibility sits with whoever posts. Switching it on is one step before you publish.
