Terms of service

What you can expect from AI Avatar Authority, and what we expect from you. Written in plain English on purpose.

Last updated 29 September 2026

Who we are

In this document, “we” and “us” mean AI Avatar Authority. “You” means the person with the account. Write to us at support@aiavatarauthority.com about anything here.

Agreeing to these terms

When you create an account or buy anything, you agree to these terms, to the privacy notice and to the acceptable use policy. Both of those form part of these terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

You must be at least 18 to use the service. There is no younger age we accept.

What the service does

AI Avatar Authority builds an AI avatar from photos you provide, then writes and assembles content with it: photos, short clips, reels and carousels. The pictures and videos it makes are generated by AI models. They are not photographs of a real moment, and you should not present them as if they were.

We do not promise that any particular generation will be good, usable, or even produced. Models change, refuse things and fail. When a generation fails, the credits it reserved go straight back to your balance.

Your account

You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Accounts are personal — do not share your sign-in. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 18.

You can close your account at any time on the Account page, or by writing to support@aiavatarauthority.com. Closing it stops future charges; it does not automatically refund the period you have already paid for.

Your content and ours

The photos you upload stay yours. You give us permission to store them and to send them to the AI providers listed in the privacy notice so that they can generate your avatar and your content — that is the whole purpose of the product, and we use them for nothing else.

What you promise about what you upload. Every time you upload a photo, an image, text or anything else, you promise that:

  • You own it, or you have the right to use it this way.
  • Any face in a twin avatar is your own, as the acceptable use policy requires.
  • Nothing you upload, and nothing you make with it, infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights.
  • You give us a limited licence to store it, process it and send it to the providers listed in the privacy notice, only to run the service for you. We claim no other rights in it.
  • You are responsible for what you publish with the output, wherever you publish it.

As between you and us, the media the service generates for you is yours to use, including commercially. Two honest caveats: AI output is not reliably protected by copyright in many countries, and a model can produce something similar for somebody else. We cannot promise exclusivity.

The house photo style, the prompts we write and the software itself remain ours. Do not copy, resell or reverse-engineer them.

Copyright complaints

We respond to notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe something on the service infringes your copyright, write to support@aiavatarauthority.com, or by post to Alexandria, Virginia, United States, marked “Attn: Copyright Agent”.

For us to act on it, a notice must contain all six of these:

  • Your physical or electronic signature, or that of someone authorised to act for the copyright owner.
  • Which copyrighted work you say has been infringed. If there are several, a representative list.
  • Which material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it.
  • Your address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.

When we receive a valid notice we remove the material or disable access to it, and we tell the account holder what was removed and why. We may forward the notice, including your contact details, to them.

If material of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must contain your signature, a description of the material and where it was before removal, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your name, address and telephone number, together with your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if you are outside the United States, any district where we can be found) and your agreement to accept service from the person who sent the notice. We forward the counter-notice to them. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they have gone to court, we restore the material between 10 and 14 business days after receiving your counter-notice.

An account that infringes repeatedly is closed. Sending a knowingly false notice or counter-notice can make you liable for the costs it causes.

Labelling what the AI made

Several platforms — Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and others — require AI-generated or significantly AI-edited media to be labelled, and some detect it automatically whether you label it or not. Advertising rules in many countries require the same thing.

Labelling your posts is your responsibility, not ours. We do not add a label for you, and we do not check your posts. If a platform requires a disclosure and you do not make it, that is between you and the platform.

Faces, likeness and consent

A “twin” avatar may only be built from photographs of your own face, and we record your confirmation that it is you before it is built. You may not build an avatar from anybody else’s face: not a friend, not a client, not a stock model, not a public figure, and never a child.

The full rules are in the acceptable use policy, which forms part of these terms. Breaking them is grounds for us to suspend or close the account.

Claims you make with it

The writing tools draft hooks and captions from what you tell them about yourself. You are the publisher. Never use the service to invent testimonials, reviews, case studies, earnings figures or results that did not happen. Consumer protection law treats those as deceptive, and so do we.

Plans, credits and top-ups

  • Creator is $39 a month and includes 70 credits and 1 avatar.
  • Pro is $89 a month and includes 200 credits and 3 avatars.
  • Founding lifetime is $297 once. It buys the software and 1 avatar. It does not include credits: generating is always paid from credits.
  • Top-ups are single payments: $25 for 55 credits, $50 for 120 credits, $100 for 265 credits.

Credits are what generating costs; the price of each action is shown on the button before you press it. Each paid monthly invoice grants that month’s credits.

Credits expire. Unused monthly credits roll over for one further month and then expire. Credits you buy as a top-up do not expire. When you spend, the credits that expire soonest are spent first, so nothing expires that could have been used. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts.

Subscriptions renew automatically

A monthly plan charges your card the plan price ($39 for Creator, $89 for Pro) on the same day every month, and keeps doing so until you cancel.

To cancel: open the Billing page in the app and press “Manage billing”, which takes you to Stripe’s portal, where you can cancel in a few clicks. Or write to support@aiavatarauthority.com and we cancel it for you.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Until then you keep everything, including generating. There is no further charge after that.

If the price of your plan is going to change, we email you at least 30 days before the change affects a renewal, so you can cancel first if you want to.

The Founding lifetime purchase and top-ups are single payments. They never renew.

If a payment fails

If a renewal payment fails, generating pauses but nothing is deleted: your library, your drafts and your credits stay exactly where they are, and you can still read and download everything. Sort the card out and generating comes straight back on.

Refunds

Within 7 days of a charge, we will refund it in full if you have used less than 20% of that period’s credits. Ask at support@aiavatarauthority.com and say which charge you mean. The same rule applies to the Founding lifetime purchase: within 7 days, and less than 20% of the credits bought since used.

Outside that — a later request, or a period you have mostly spent — we look at it case by case and we will tell you plainly what we decide and why. Top-ups that have been spent are not refundable, because the generation has already been paid for at the providers. A refund of credits you have not spent is made by removing those credits from your balance.

Please write to us before disputing a charge with your bank or card company. We answer quickly and we refund when the rule above says we should. A chargeback on a charge we have already refunded, or on credits that have been spent, may lead to the account being closed.

If you are a consumer in a country with a statutory cancellation right, that right stands whatever this section says. If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK: by asking us to generate something, you ask us to start straight away, and you accept that the credits it uses are not covered by the 14-day right of withdrawal.

Emails we send

We send a few emails about your account: a welcome when your avatar is set up, one tip a couple of days later if you have not made your first reel, and a notice if a payment fails. You cannot opt out of these while you have an account, because they are about the account. Sign-in emails come from Clerk and receipts from Stripe.

When you create an account we also add your email address to our newsletter, and send you news, tips and offers about the service. Every one of those has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect your account. The privacy notice says what we keep on that list.

Suspension

We can suspend or close an account that breaks the acceptable use policy, that is used for anything unlawful, or that is running up costs in a way that looks like abuse. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right. If we close an account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of the period.

Ending the agreement

You can end it any time by deleting your account on the Account page. That cancels any subscription, removes your photos, avatars, drafts and generated media, and deletes your sign-in. What we keep afterwards, and for how long, is set out in the privacy notice.

We can end it by closing your account for a breach of the acceptable use policy or these terms, as described under “Suspension”.

Some parts of these terms make sense only after the agreement ends, and they survive it: what you promised about what you uploaded, “You cover us”, “What we do not promise”, and the law that applies.

You cover us

If someone brings a claim against us because of something you uploaded, generated or published, or because you broke these terms, you cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees. We will tell you about the claim promptly and will not settle it in a way that binds you without asking you first.

What we do not promise

The service is provided as it is. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, that a model will stay available, or that any output will suit a particular purpose. Nothing here excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Beyond that, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Other things

These terms, the privacy notice and the acceptable use policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we sell the business or merge it with another, we may pass this agreement to the new owner. If we do not enforce something once, that does not mean we have given it up.

Changes, and the law that applies

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will say so in the product before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, and the courts there deal with any dispute.
